Shimanami Kaido Cycling Road

Shimanami Kaido is a 70-km-long cycling course crossing the strait between Ehime and Hiroshima Prefectures. This scenic route, which connects six islands with seven bridges in the Seto Inland Sea, is well known as a Cyclist’s Sanctuary and was selected by CNN as one of the “7 Best Bike Routes in the World.” It has been designated as a “National Cycle Route,” which are world-class cycling routes that represent Japan.

UFO Line

This is a mountain course, known as the UFO Line on which you can cycle along the ridgeline at an altitude of over 1,600 m while viewing Mt. Ishizuchi, the highest mountain in western part of Japan. On clear days, you can see all the way to the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It is a spectacular road stretching into the endless sky and has become popular cycling route in recent years.
